You know Star Wars has become "cool" when MTV does an entire special TRL episode for it.
I saw it this morning, at six o' clock. Sleepy-eyed and sweater-clad, standing next to Alex in line. Kyle said a few times that he couldn't sleep because he was so pumped up for this movie.
Curled up in my chair, six rows in front of the enormous mammoth screen at Jordan Commons, I was desperately trying to keep the idiotic grin off my face. I have never considered myself a huge Star Wars fan... but oh, I was excited about seeing Padmé's costumes. All right... that was only part of it, but still...
Just before the preview for "The Matrix II" showed up onscreen, someone up in the balcony bellowed "Enough of this! We want Star Wars!" And the entire audience laughed. It was so strange, the fantasy nerd solidarity in that theater. It made me feel so happy... that if the world could only be like that all the time, I would feel like a princess.
I won't ruin it for you. I promise. But I have to say one thing...
Sam Jackson is a "bad mother-f***er".
Yoda... is a bad-ass one.
